My dog is exhausted. She literally hides when someone grabs her leash. She is getting walked constantly right now. The kids each have to walk her each day, I walk her and then she joins us on the family walks I make everyone go on…with a good attitude or they have to run!

The rest of the family is doing okay with keeping active. It can be a struggle to find the motivation some days. But we do have a lot of options at our house for both tough and fun exercising, so no one can complain too much. However, I don’t know if we have enough time in the day to burn off all of the baked goods we are consuming! Seems like every day brings a new treat!

To add some fun, I developed an “Amazing Race” style workout for the kids. My youngest did it happily as the other two stood by and scowled. You win some, you lose some. I had a few other families try it out since I couldn’t get enough quality feedback from my crew.
Luke busted through it with his brother Jack’s help.

Kate and Caroline were happy participants and loved the hopscotch and chair sit.
The Moen beauties just revolted entirely! Like I said, you win some you lose some!

The adventure includes some great exercise and a little bit of downtime. Parent help is needed to read the clues and keep a timer. It should take about 25 minutes to complete. It is best suited for ages 5 – 9, but little ones and older ones can still have some fun! A prize is essential for this. Perhaps a sweet treat or even a dollar or two!

Hope this helps add a little exercise and some creative, simple wonder to your day!
Stay well,
Kimber
