This book is beautifully illustrated and is a great story about summer camp experiences, and the challenges that come with staying in touch with camp friends after the magical experience comes to a close. It's a perfect book for an anxious young camper, and I also especially appreciated the creative ways the campers attempt to stay in touch through letter writing and packages since our kids live in such a digital age where the excitement of having a pen pal is sometimes lost.

What Fans say about Embarrasiing George

I loved sharing this story with my boys. They chuckled while comparing our family to the silly families described in the book. The details were so relatable to our times - teenagers staring at their phones constantly, toddlers refusing to wear anything other than costumes, etc. The illustrations were rich in detail and gave us a lot to talk about. Such a fun story!

Embarrassing George is a sweet and funny story we can all relate to, both kids and adults! Children will love connecting their own family stories to George's family, and will certainly laugh out loud (or, perhaps, knowingly roll their eyes) at their antics. George teaches us that no matter how embarrassing your family is, they will show up for you when it counts. I absolutely recommend this book for children of all ages!

This is a sweet story about friendship, determination and love! This cute little fox is trying to bring cheer to his friends but when things don’t go as planned he never gives up! It is a great lesson for children of all ages with beautiful illustrations.

As a teacher and a parent to elementary age children, I highly recommend this sweet story! The rhyming text is catchy and the illustrations are adorable! More importantly, the message in the story is a improved take on the "it's better to give than to receive" holiday message---and when kindness is given, everyone receives. You can feel the joy in this book!
